History

291 Squadron was originally formed on July 7, 1943 and was sponsored by the Blenhiem Rotary Club. The Squadron was successfully operated until 1954 when it was placed on the inactive list.

Under the sponsorship of the Blenhiem Kinsmen Club the Squadron was reformed in 1964. In 1987 sponsorship was changed to Cpl. Harry Miner, VC. Branch 185 Royal Canadian Legion. Our sponsor has provided in valuable support to the youht of Blenheim.


The Squadrons home since formation has been the Blenheim District Highschool.

The Squadron has produced many strong leaders within the community. The Past Commadning officers include:
